    2007, the respective ratio of number of appeared candidates to qualified candidate was 5x : 4x ….let us say x=100 then 2007, the respective ratio of number of appeared candidates to qualified candidate was 500:400
    no. of qualified females =400*(3/8) =150
    % = (150/500)*100= 30%

    difference between number of male qualified candidates & female qualified candidates was = 9x-5x =72
    4x = 72
    x = 18 then
    9x+5x=14x= 14*18=252
    now 252 = 42% then 100% =?
    (100/42)*252=600
