Suppose No. of appeared candidates in 2006 is X and it is given that in 2007 it is increased by 100%, so in 2007 No. of appeared candidates will be 2X

It is given that total number of qualified candidates is 408.

    From the table

    X*30% + 2X*45% = 408, from here you will get the value of X

    i.e. 340

    can u pls explain???

  • Banking Shortcuts

    Suppose total salary= X
    X*40%
    i.e. 2X/5
    Remaining X-2X/5= 3X/5
    (3X/5)*25%
    and monthly saving =48600/12= 4050
    2X/5+ 3X/20+4050= X

From above equation you will get X= 9000

  • Ayushi Shukla

i took entire amnt as X”, took 40% along with 25% of that and finally equated it (48600/12)
whateva the result was. was his monthly salry
